Granagh-Ballingarry defeated Glenroe last Friday evening

SUPPORTERS cheered on Glenroe and Granagh-Ballingarry in the Limerick premier intermediate hurling championship on last Friday evening. 

Granagh-Ballingarry opened their Lyons of Limerick premier intermediate hurling championship campaign with a hard fought 1-18 to 0-19 victory over Glenroe at Kilmallock on last Friday evening. 

The winners, who trailed by two points, 0-7 to 0-9, produced an improved second half display to secure the two precious points on offer, helped by a crucial 48th minute goal from Sean O'Connor.

Granagh-Ballingarry will take on South Liberties in their second group fixture on Saturday in Adare at 7pm. Glenroe switch their focus to a crucial second round meeting with Effin on Thursday evening in Kilfinane at 7pm.
