Garryspillane's Adam Sheehan said the south Limerick club have been able to used the hurt they experienced in last year's final to push on this year.

“We have that (hurt) bottled up from last year. Even in training and matches the hunger is still there, we know what it takes to get to the final and we know what it takes to win the final. Hopefully this year we can win it,” said Adam Sheehan.

Meanwhile, South Liberties' Alex Keyes said it was difficult for the club to suffer relegation from the senior ranks last year.

“It was definitely a heartbreaking enough year last year, we came together at the start of the year and we set a pathway at the start of the year for promotion from premier intermediate and that's definitely what we are aiming for,” added Alex Keyes.

Albert McSweeney remains in charge of South Liberties. Eoghan Godfrey, John Hickey and Limerick senior hurling star Barry Nash is a key figure for the city club.

Clare native Aaron Considine enters into his second year in charge of the Knocklong based club. Last year’s county finalists have plenty of quality at their disposal, with players like Hugh Flanagan, Declan Heavey, and Mark Quinlan in the ranks

Verdict: Garryspillane
