Limerick hurling stars Tom Morrissey and Seamus Flanagan traded their jerseys for microphones last weekend as they took on punditry duties, offering sharp analysis and unique insight drawn from their All-Ireland winning experiences

Tom Morrissey joined The Sunday Game analysis team on RTÉ on Sunday evening, where he was alongside hurling greats Joe Canning (Galway) and Brendan Cummins (Tipperary) to dissect the weekend’s action. The show, presented by Jacqui Hurley, offered in-depth analysis and is available for replay on the RTÉ Player.

Meanwhile, Seamus Flanagan was part of the BBC’s coverage of both semi-finals, lending his insight to a panel that included former Antrim star Neil McManus and Kilkenny’s Paul Murphy. Sarah Mulkerrins led the BBC broadcast, with commentary from Jamesie O’Connor and Thomas Niblock.

Cork defeated Dublin 7-26 to 2-21 in the first of the All-Ireland SHC semi-finals on Saturday evening, while Tipperary edged past Kilkenny 4-20 to 0-30 in the other All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday evening.

The All-Ireland final will now see last year's All-Ireland finalists Cork take on Tipperary on Sunday July 20.Limerick’s early departure from the championship provided Morrissey and Flanagan with an opportunity to gain experience in the punditry arena. 

The club championships get underway on the August bank holiday weekend, with inter-county season over, Morrissey resumes action with Ahane in the senior hurling championship, as Flanagan shifts focus to his commitments with Feohanagh-Castlemahon in the intermediate hurling championship.
