LIAM GORDON will referee Sunday's Munster Senior Hurling Championship clash between Limerick and Cork. The Galway native refereed Cork and Clare in round one of the Munster SHC.
Limerick and Cork are set for another titantic battle this weekend in round four of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship. John Kiely's side host their Munster rivals at 4pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday.
The round four Munster SHC clash between Limerick and Cork is set to be a sell-out at the Ennis Road venue. No tickets are currently available on public sale. In the region of 6,000 stand tickets are reserved for season ticket holders, with players, officials and sponsors also getting a set allocation.The clubs are receiving their allocations over the coming days. 43,000 spectators are expected in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

There has been very little between the sides in recent seasons. Earlier this year, Limerick and Cork played out a draw in the Allianz Hurling League.
Last year's 'the Rebels' defeated Limerick in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship round-robin series and in the All-Ireland semi-final. Before last year, Limerick had the upper hand on Cork.
The Shannonsiders had defeated Cork in their Championship meetings from 2020 to 2023, with Cork’s last win over Limerick before last year coming in 2019.
Both sides sit level on three points at the top of the table in the Munster SHC round-robin series. Cork played out a draw with Clare in round one. Pat Ryan's side then produced a ruthless performance to get past Tipp in round two.
After an opening round draw with Tipperary, Limerick registered their first win of the Munster Championship against Waterford. 
John Kiely has urged as many supporters as possible to get behind his side on Sunday.
“It's a brilliant part of the Munster championship but I can tell you, I'm sending the message out to our supporters that we're at home, it's our home ground and we want to hear them the next day and hear every single last one of them. We want them to take the seats and fill the seat,” said Kiely.
Peter Casey and Barry Murphy were absent from the fixture against Waterford due to injury; however, Limerick manager John Kiely confirmed following the match that both players are dealing with only minor issues.
