LIMERICK opened the defence of their Munster senior hurling championship title with a pulsating 2-23 each draw with Tipperary at a wet FBD Semple Stadium, Thurles on Easter Sunday.
The round robin clash produced 50 scores, including four terrific goals, as the local rivals finished deadlocked at the end of 70 minutes.

The result ensured that four sides are now tied on one point each after the first series of round robin fixtures with All-Ireland champions Clare battling back to earn a draw a with Cork in Ennis earlier in the day.
The second series of fixtures in the Munster championship next weekend will see Clare take on Waterford in Walsh Park on Sunday next, 2pm, while Cork host Tipperary at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh at 4pm.

Holders Limerick will return to Munster championship action on Saturday, May 3 with a clash against Waterford at Walsh Park, 6pm throw-in.
