UNIVERSITY of Limerick were crowned Fitzgibbon Cup champions last Saturday afternoon when they defeated DCU in the Connacht GAA centre of excellence.
Brian Ryan's side were crowned Fitzgibbon Cup for the third time in four years. Ten Limerick hurling stars were part of the UL Fitzgibbon Cup winning side which included Colin Coughlan, Patrick O'Donovan, Adam English, Aidan O'Connor, Cathal O'Neill, Conor Hanley Clarke, Sam Williams, Barry Duff, John Fitzgerald and Evan O'Leary.
Ballybrown's Colin Coughlan was captain of the UL Fitzgibbon Cup team.
