LIMERICK'S Division 1A Allianz National Hurling League clash against Kilkenny this weekend will be shown on TG4.

The round four fixture gets underway on Sunday at 1:45pm in UPMC Nowlan Park. John Kiely's side will look to continue their unbeaten record after playing out a draw with Cork and recording a victory over Tipperary in the earlier rounds of the Allianz Hurling League.

Six members of the Limerick senior hurling squad won Fitzgibbon Cup medals with UL last weekend which included Colin Coughlan, Adam English, Aidan O'Connor, Patrick O'Donovan, Cathal O'Neill and Conor Hanley Clarke. O'Neill made his return from injury at the weekend.

Barry Nash, Mike Casey, Declan Hannon, Darragh O'Donovan, Tom Morrissey and Peter Casey are yet to feature for the 2023 All-Ireland champions this year.

This will be Limerick's last away fixture of the Allianz Hurling League. In 2024, the Shannonsiders had no home games due to the redevelopment of the playing surface at the TUS Gaelic Grounds. The Munster champions will finish their league campiagn with home fixtures against Clare, Wexford and Galway.

It has been a mixed Allianz Hurling League campaign for Derek Lyng's side. The Cats recorded victories over Clare and Wexford. Galway edged out Kilkenny in round two of the Allianz Hurling League.

Kilkenny got the better of Limerick in last year's League semi-final. In Championship hurling, Limerick have the upper hand on this weekend's opponents defeating them in the 2022 and 2023 All-Ireland finals.
