TWO LIMERICK colleges are in action this evening in round two of the Fitzgibbon Cup.
Mary Immaculate College travel to SETU Waterford at 7pm. This game will be streamed on the Higher Education GAA Youtube channel. Jamie Wall's side narrowly defeated ATU Galway in round one. Limerick hurlers Vince Harrington, Cian Scully, Shane O'Brien, Oisin O'Farrell and William Dore all featured for the south circular road college in the opening round. Former Limerick goalkeeper Barry Hennessy will be in action for the Waterford College.
University of Limerick host ATU Galway at 7:30pm in Maguires Fields. UL had too much for SETU Waterford last Wednesday. Colin Coughlan, Aidan O'Connor, Adam English and Patrick O'Donovan were part of the Castletroy colleges starting XV last week. Cathal O'Neill and Adam Screeney are sidelined through injury and Limerick senior hurler Adam English is an injury doubt for this evening's clash. English limped off through injury in the second half in his side's victory over SETU Waterford.
Victories for both Limerick colleges will secure their place into the the Fitzgibbon Cup quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Limerick senior hurler Eddie Stoke is part of the UCC Fitzgibbon Cup team that face University of Galway this evening.
TUS Midwest have a bye this week in the Fitzgibbon Cup.
