EIGHT teams remain in the hunt to win this year's Dr Harty Cup, Munster post-primary schools’ senior ‘A’ hurling competition.
Ardscoil Rís are the only Limerick team left in contention to win the Cup.

The city-based school take on Thurles CBS, of Tipperary, in a mouth-watering quarter-final clash today at 2:45pm in the University of Limerick North Campus 4G pitch.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 8, but was postponed as a result of the cold snap.

Niall Crowe's Árdscoil charges recorded victories over Castletroy College, Our Lady's College Templemore and Colaiste Choilm during their group campaign.

Adare clubman Patrick Kearney has been in impressive form scoring 2-23 for Ardscoil Rís throughout the competition. Darragh Jordan, Adam Fitzsimmons, Evan Ryan, Sean Morrissey, Eoin Brosnan, Darragh Gleeson, Jack Cosgrave, Conor Ryan, Ronan Benson, Oisin O'Byrne and John O'Keefe are some of the other Limerick players that have impressed in the Árdscoil campaign.

Ardscoil last won the Dr Harty Cup in 2018 and they have emerged as strong contenders to win this competition.

The winners of the game will take on the winners of the quarter-final meeting of CBC Cork and De La Salle Waterford in the semi-finals on January 22.

Thurles CBS defeated Our Lady's College Templemore in the preliminary quarter-final to reach the last eight. Monday's quarter-final at UL featuring Árdscoil Rís will form the second part of a Harty Cup quarter-final double header as Cashel CS and Gaelcholaiste Mhuire AG go head-to-head at the same venue at 1pm.

CBC Cork face De La Salle Waterford and St Flannan's, Ennis take on CBC Cork in the two remaining Harty Cup quarter-finals today.
