How things stand after two rounds of intermediate hurling championship action

TWO rounds of the Nick Grene County Intermediate Hurling Championship have taken place with hurling now taking a break for three weeks. 

After the opening rounds of the intermediate championship only two teams remain unbeaten with Murroe Boher winning both their games in group one and Feohanagh doing the same in group two. 

The second round of fixtures two place over the weekend with Mungret St Paul's falling short to table toppers Murroe Boher, 0-26 to 1-14 in group one. Croagh Kilfinny had a much needed victory over St Kieran's, 5-26 to 0-6 points, after losing to Murrow Boher in the first round. Bruree also gained a vital win in the second round of the championship with a 2-17 to 4-8 over Pallasgreen to round off action in the first group of the intermediate hurling championship.

In group two Feohanagh remain unbeaten after a 2-16 to 2-11 win over Cappamore. Elsewhere Hospital Herbertstown gained their first victory of the campaign with a two-point win over Croom, 0-16 to 1-11 and finally Knockainey got the better of Kilmallock on a scoreline of 2-21 to 3-12.
