RIVALS Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock will meet in this year’s Bons Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling League final in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Wednesday, June 19 at 7:30pm.

Wednesday’s final is also a repeat of the County League Final of 2011, on what was the Caherdavin teams first win in the competition.

The two clubs meet for the first time since last year’s championship clash, of which Na Piarsaigh won. This will be Kilmallock’s second final in-a-row with the side unable to bring home the silverware last year when Doon emerged 3-19 to 2-19 in a last gasp victory.

Na Piarsaigh on the other hand have not been in the Senior Hurling League final since 2022 when they beat Adare, 4-19 to 1-13, to collect their seventh title and their first since 2019.

In the lead up to this year’s final Na Piarsaigh beat Murroe-Boher in their respective semi-final, 3-21 to 1-19, while Kilmallock overcame Dromin-Athlacca, 2-19 to 1-20. The Caherdavin club were the victors of the city final earlier in the year beating Patrickswell to claim their first bit of silverware this season while Kilmallock overcame Garryspillane in the South final.

Elsewhere Knockainey have captured the Bons Secours Hospital County Intermediate League title after a 2-17 to 1-18 victory over Bruree last weekend.

The Junior A final will be contested between Tournafulla and Patrickswell this Sunday, June 23 in Kilmallock at 7:30pm.

In the Bons Secours Hospital County Senior Football final Fr Casey’s overcame Newcastle West by two points in this year’s final in Feenagh, 0-10 to 0-8.

Galbally had a resounding 4-12 to 1-9 victory over Rathkeale in the Intermediate football final which took place last week.

In a tighter affair Ahane overcame Cappagh by a single point, 1-12 to 1-11 in the County Football Junior A final. St Kieran’s claimed the Junior B title after a two-point win over Mungret St Paul’s.
