RUMOURS abound this Thursday afternoon that current Waterford manager Davy Fitzgerald is set to take a leading role with a Limerick senior hurling club.
Fitzgerald is today being linked to a role with Doon. Sources close to the east Limerick outfit have said that a meeting between Fitzgerald and officials took place earlier this week.
Leader Sport contacted Doon GAA earlier today but they declined to comment on the speculation. Doon are currently without a manager or trainer following the recent departures of Tadhg Hayes and Jimmy Quilty.
The east Limerick side have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship twice in recent years but lost to Na Piarsaigh on both occasions. They made the semi-final last year.
