Limerick businessman JP McManus paid a visit to his local GAA club South Liberties recently where he presented members of the club with a special framed skirt uniform form a past Grand national win.

Chairman John Godfrey was on hand to accept the framed gift, alongside South Liberties senior hurlers, Barry Nash and Eoghan Godfrey.
The skirt presented is designed similarly to that of the South Liberties jersey, the striking green and yellow stripes emblazoned horizontally across the uniform.
The Liberties' colours were worn last year by Paul Townend on 'I am Maximus', winning the Aintree Grand National in April 2024.
Those at the GAA club say that the frame will be hung with "immense pride" in the clubhouse.
Speaking to ITV in the aftermath of his win at Aintree, McManus billed the Grand National as a "wonderful spectacle."
“I love everything about the race."
“I love Liverpool, the excitement of coming here, the build-up to the National, it’s just a very, very special place. When you win it’s a wonderful spectacle."
“The Grand National, you are always looking forward to it and what you might have for the next one because it is such a special race," he said.
