KILTEELY National School pupils must have been extra, extra good because Santa Claus made a surprise visit before Christmas.
He even had a VIP escort from An Garda Siochana and Tipperary Town and Tipperary Vintage Rally. The children had the opportunity to check out Santa’s comfy sleigh, sing songs and even dance with Santa too.
Santa was very impressed with all the children’s beautiful artwork around the school and he shocked the children with his knowledge of Ms Collins’ ASD class' recent success in the St Ailbe’s Credit Union art competition.
Santa also knew they have been super busy since their return to school in September, taking part in fun learning games and experiments for Maths and Science Weeks. They had fun dressing up for Halloween while they sampled a variety of different fruits, of which Rudolph was very jealous.
Santa also advised the children that the elves were fascinated to hear the children had held their own Late Late Toy Show demo for their class. The children have just finished doing yoga with Megan from School Fitness Ireland and Santa said he needed a few pointers on this as he rubbed his round belly!
The children excitedly told Santa all about their enactment of the Nativity with song and music for the parish in St Patrick’s & St Brigid’s Church, Kilteely.
Santa was very interested to hear of the children’s upcoming plans to go to see the Peter Pan pantomime; taking part in the Peace Proms and going swimming in the New Year.
Santa told the children they are very lucky to have such a wonderful principal, teachers and SNAs. He is looking forward to keeping up to date with all their future adventures on their website www.kilteelyns.ie
Santa gifted each child a selection box and also gave them the night off homework, to their resounding joy. He also cautioned all the children to go to bed early on Christmas Eve and reminded them to be good!
