THE Moyross-based Corpus Christi School Choir has released an inspiring cover of a popular song ahead of the festive weekend.

The schoolchildren, from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class, have performed a cover of Andy Grammar’s popular song ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ in aid of North Star Family Support Service of Commemoration and Hope which has gained great traction online.

Due to the popularity of the cover, parents Marion Kelly, Stephen Tubridy and Lisa O’Connor approached the choir about recording this song professionally as it struck a chord with so many.

Aside from the school choir, there were solo performances by past pupils Grace Tubridy, and Marion Kelly.

Choir manager and acting deputy principal Órfhlaith Prendergast delighted in the support she received in creating this video.

“We’re so grateful for the volunteer spirit of our wonderful parents for putting this video together in their spare time and really feel there is a fantastic positive message to this song.”

Over the years, the Corpus Christi School Choir has received national acclaim with their appearances on national television and radio. They have performed on RTÉ’s “Up for the Match”, Miriam O’Callaghan’s radio show and various other radio and television Masses.

“These superstars have proved to be incredible ambassadors for Corpus Christi school everywhere they have travelled and the mental and physical benefits of singing cannot be underestimated for our children”, stated Órfhlaith.
