Former Limerick TD and Fair City actress share twin babies' genders

Tom and Jenny shared the gender of their twins on social media

FORMER LIMERICK TD Tom Neville and his wife Jenny Dixon have announced they are expecting twin girls.

The couple shared earlier this month that they were pregnant with twins and now they have shared the news that they are waiting for the arrival of two baby girls.

On Thursday, the pair held a gender reveal party and shared photos from the event online where they were seen kissing surrounded by pink confetti.

Jenny shared a video on social media of the husband and wife bursting a balloon that revealed the gender of their babies with their family and friends cheering in the background.

In a tweet, Jenny said: "We’ve waited a lifetime for this moment.. a surreal day.. a beautiful one.. a thankful one" and confirmed that she is 21 weeks pregnant.

Jenny, who previously starred as KerriAnn on Fair City, took to social media this month to tell of an "emotional rollercoaster" that had led to the couple learning that they are pregnant with twins.

The pair, who wed in Dublin in July 2019, recently moved from Limerick to London, so that Tom, a former Fine Gael TD could take up an exciting new opportunity with social media giants TikTok.

Taking to inform his own followers, the former Limerick Deputy, Croagh native and Crescent College Comprehensive graduate said: "Just when we thought it may never happen. It happens and it happens x2. Can’t wait to meet the twins."

People from the political and acting communities flooded the pair's social media with well wishes when they announced their happy news.

Celia Holman Lee, Rosanna Davidson and Lisa Jordan all expressed their delight at Jenny and Tom's announcement.

"We can’t wait to meet you. We can’t wait to meet both of you," Jenny, who is also a qualified teacher told her followers.
