As of midnight, Saturday August 28, NPHET are reporting 1,706* confirmed cases of #COVID19.
Meanwhile, as of 8am today, 347 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, an increase from yesterday's figures. There are now 60 patients in ICU, down one from 24 hours ago.
Yesterday some 1,997 more people were diagnosed with coronavirus across Ireland.
While 324 patients with the disease are in hospital. Of these, 61 are in intensive care.
Daily localised figures remain unavailable, but data released on Thursday show across Limerick, there were almost 800 new cases locally up to last Monday.
