River rescue in Limerick city

THREE units of the Limerick City Fire and Rescue service attended a river rescue in the city centre last night.

The incident was reported at the Shannon Bridge, where someone was seen entering the water.

Fire crews were at the scene by 11.43pm, and returned to their base in Mulgrave Street a short time later.
