GERMAN retailer Lidl is seeking permission to build a discount foodstore on the outskirts of Limerick city.
The company has submitted a planning application to Clare County Council for the proposed development at Knockballynameath, Corbally – on lands to the north of the existing Westbury Centre.
The proposed development also includes a off-licence area, a coffee shop and car-parking for electric cars.
The application was lodged last Friday and a decision must be made by early July.
