Rebranded Limerick radio station retains top spot locally

LIVE 95 has retained its position as the most listened-to radio station in Limerick according to the latest radio listenership figures which have just been published.

According to the JNLR/Ipsos MRBI survey, Live 95, which was rebranded in February, had a 28% market share in Limerick over the 12 month period ending in March.

In addition, the figures show that more than a third (36%) of those aged over 15 in Limerick listen to the radio station at least once every weekday while more than 100,000 people across the city and county tune into Live 95 at least once a week.

“We aim every day to keep the listeners of Limerick entertained and informed and we are proud to focus more than any other radio station on this great city and county. We are grateful to our listeners and the business community for staying local in such numbers, because we know they are as proud of Limerick as we are, at Live 95,” said station director Joe Nash.

“I want to especially thank the great team here at the radio station who are so dedicated to bringing the best radio possible, to the best place in the country,” he added.

The latest survey shows that radio remains popular across the country with 82% of the population tuning in to at least one radio station every day.
