Deaths in Limerick - February 24, 2019

The death has occurred of Fr. Patrick Walsh, Redemptorist Monastery, Mt St Alphonsus, South Circular Road, Limerick and Mitchelstown, Cork. 

Peacefully at University Hospital Limerick. Deeply regretted by his sister Sr. Cecilia (Loretto Sisters, Fermoy), nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great grandnephew, his Redemptorist Community, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the Redemptorist Monastery on Monday evening from 4pm.

Removal to Mt St Alphonsus Church on Tuesday at 6.30pm for Mass at 7.15pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael O'Connor, late of Reidy Court, Garryowen, Limerick. 

Michael, passed away peacefully at Milford Care Centre. Brother of the late Gerard and Dolie. Very deeply regretted by his sons Christy, Billy and Mark, daughters Annemarie and Michelle, brothers Dessie, Liam, Niall, Kevin and Tony, sisters Susan, Theresa, Olive and Sylvia, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Milford Care Centre, Mortuary, Wednesday (Feb. 27th) from 9.30am to 10.30am followed by Cremation Service in Shannon Crematorium, Illaunmanagh, Shannon, Co. Clare.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Hannan (née Moffatt) of Brookville, Avenue, Clareview, Limerick. 

Peggy died peacefully at University Hospital Limerick. Sadly missed by her loving husband Noel, sons John and Noel, daughter-in-law Paula, grandsons Daniel and Jack, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Monday (Feb. 25th) from 5pm. Removal at 6.30pm to St. Lelia’s Church. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (Feb. 26th) at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Etta Carroll (née O ‘Sullivan) of Killacolla Cottage, Ballyagran, Limerick. 

Peacefully, at her residence. Relict of Jack. Sister of the late Kathleen and Jerry. Deeply regretted by her daughter Sandra, son Con, sister Margaret, brothers Jim, Dick and John, grandchildren Arthur, Lewis and Elliot, son-in-law Dan, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O’Malley Funeral Homes, New Line, Charleville (P56T184), on Monday from 6pm until removal at 7:30pm to St. Michael's Church, Ballyagran. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12:30pm. Funeral after to Seanabhotha Cemetery, Granagh. House private.
