The Limerick punter smashed odds of 33,000/1 to win a four figure sum with a 15 cent bet
A LIMERICK punter has smashed odds of 33,000/1 to win a four figure sum with a 15 cent bet.
The County Limerick Punter is popping the champagne after taking out massive odds and landing a January bonus via their lucky Lotto Numbers.
The anonymous customer placed a 15c bet in a BoyleSports shop in the county on Tuesday, picking four numbers for the main EuroMillions draw later that day.
They faced odds of 33,000/1 against 3, 19, 31 and 32 all coming out, but within minutes the odds had disintegrated as the incredible bet landed.
The customer returned to the shop and scooped a profit of €4,950.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “Our Limerick customer only parted with small loose change, but what a stroke of genius it was to take on the big odds and turn it into a four-figure sum. We send them big congratulations and hope it’s lifted any January blues.”
