WET WET WET star Marti Pellow had a ‘perfect’ experience in Limerick where the love was certainly all around.

The man with the iconic voice played a show at Limerick’s University Concert Hall on Friday night, tweeting afterward: “Hi Limerick ….thank you for your hospitality and smiles, your dancing and your ear busting cheers. It was a great night for me and the band to have the pleasure of your company. The venue was perfect and everyone backstage made us so welcome …love to love …Marti.”

Pellow, who released solo album Mysterious last year, sang the songs that made him famous, accompanied by a full 10 piece band, at the UCH.

In response to the BRIT and Ivor Novello award-winning singer-songwriter, who has had chart-topping multi-platinum albums as both a solo artist and with Wet Wet Wet, the UCH said: “What a show!! Thank you to @martiofficial and his amazing band. We loved having you here.”

Some of those that attended said it was a “fantastic night” and “wonderful night of great music and fun ...I loved every minute of it”.
