Limerick Animal Welfare urges public to report video of llama in city

LIMERICK Animal Welfare (Law) has urged members of the public to report a video of a llama in King’s Island to the cruelty officer. 

This week, videos of a llama in the northside has gone viral after being circulated on social media. 

On Wednesday night, Law shared a video of the llama being ridden by a youth grappling around the animal’s neck, outside a derelict house in a city estate. 

In a Facebook post, Law stated: “Limerick Animal Welfare are receiving a huge number of complaints about this video of a Lama on the Island Field. Please report to the cruelty officer on 1890 515515.”

It is understood that a number of people have reported the incident to the cruelty officer and to members of An Garda Siochana.
