Hatchet-wielding raiders take 'large sum' in Limerick bookmaker robbery

GARDAI at Roxboro Road are investigating an armed robbery in which three hatchet-wielding men raided a bookmaker in Limerick. 

The Limerick Leader has learned that three men armed with hatchets entered the Boylesports premises in Ballycummin and demanded cash from two employees in an incident that happened around 9.15pm on Tuesday night.

The three men were wearing balaclavas and threatened staff members. According to sources, the culprits were “aggressive and destructive”. 

The three raiders left the scene with “a large sum of cash” in a dark silver car. 

Gardai have told the Limerick Leader that no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
