A spectacular Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at tLimerick's Crescent Shopping Centre will take place at 5pm this Friday in the Central Concourse to get everyone in the mood for Christmas.
Special guests will include Limerick Panto Society, accompanied by the wonderfully harmonious Unity Gospel Choir who will also be on hand with sweets and treats for the kids.
For fashionistas and families a like, Black Friday will also coincide with switching on of the Christmas lights with offers from select retailers from 9.30am to 9pm along with the welcome addition of exciting new big brand retailers now open on the City Mall, Gap Outlet, Superdry and Selected Femme/Homme.
And that’s not all, as a very important man, Santa, will be arriving in style at the Crescent Shopping Centre on Sunday November 26 at 1pm, in a horse-drawn magic sleigh to meet all the kids and families at the Garryowen Mall entrance (next to River Island), before making his way through the malls with musical accompaniment and lively activity to Santa’s new cabin located on the City Mall.
Crescent Shopping Centre Manager, John Davitt, said: “The Crescent Shopping Centre serves as a place of tradition at Christmas time for many communities and families in the region over the last 44 years.
"We look forward to welcoming Santa, who will be in his new North Pole cabin on the City Mall from Sunday November 26, then every day until Christmas Eve. We look forward to welcoming our customers to the Crescent this Christmas period and to events over the weekend when Christmas officially kicks off at the Crescent Shopping Centre.”
Keep an eye out for Santa’s footprints in the Malls to locate him.
