Gardai at the scene on Catherine Street
GARDAÍ at Henry Street garda station are continuing their investigations after they were called to a city centre apartment wh-ere a body was found on Tuesday morning.
Gardaí arrived at the scene before 12 noon, to investigate the “sudden death” of a woman, believed to be in her 30s, who was found at a basement apartment on Catherine Street.
It is understood that circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are not thought to be suspicious. The body is due to be transferred to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem.
Gardaí remained at the scene until late Tuesday afternoon.
