Over 100 roles at Mid-West Jobs Shop in Limerick

The Mid-West Jobs Fair takes place in the Strand this Friday

MORE than 100 positions for local job seekers will be on offer at a special jobs fair in Limerick this Friday.

The Strand Hotel will play host to the annual Mid-West Jobs Fair, which will kick off at 10am this Friday.

Some 33 companies offering jobs will come from a wide range of sectors including Dell, the Irish Defence Forces, PhoneWatch, Last Minute Minders, Northern Trust, Virgin Media, Stryker and STL Logistics.

Tourism Minister Patrick O’Donovan will be on hand to launch the event, with all jobseekers welcome to attend.

The event is being co-ordinated by the Department of Social Protection, and is backed by the Limerick Chamber, the Mid-West Regional Skills Forum, ULearning Skillnet, Limerick Chamber Skillnet, Business Excellence Skillnet and the Innovation and Lean Sigma Skillnet (ILSS). 

As well as employers, local training providers will also be exhibiting.

Chamber chief executive Dr James Ring said: ”We are delighted to be involved in the Limerick Jobs Fair this year. Action in reducing unemployment and enabling an environment for job creation is vital for the continued growth in the Mid-West Region.”
