The late Gemma Carcaterra, 42, formerly director of Daghda Dance Company in Limerick
FRIENDS of the late Gemma Carcaterra, who passed away this February – five months after giving birth to triplets - are taking on the Barringtons Hospital Great Limerick Run in her memory on Sunday, May 1.
Elaine McKeogh, a neighbour in Killaloe, told the Limerick Leader: “We recently lost a very special member of our community, Gemma. Her energy and joy for life are clear in the many tributes paid to her since her sudden and untimely passing.
“Gemma took on many challenging adventures and sporting events throughout her life, including the Great Limerick Run.
"It is in this spirit of positivity that Gemma will be remembered by many runners in this year’s Great Limerick Run.” They also wish to help her widowed husband Colm Clarke, and children - two identical twin girls, Ava and Riona, and her son Coen.
