According to Met Éireann, heavy showers and longer spells of rain are expected across the country from Tuesday September 16 into Wednesday morning
IN THE latest weather update Met Eireann has issued five counties, including Limerick, with a Status Yellow rain warning for this Tuesday - September 16.
Ireland is set to experience further bouts of heavy rain tomorrow, with Met Éireann issuing a Status Yellow Rain Warning for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Galway.
The warning comes into effect from 6pm on Tuesday and will remain in place until 3am on Wednesday.

Motorists are being urged to take extra care on the roads, while householders in flood-prone areas are advised to remain alert.
The warning follows a period of unsettled weather across the country, with persistent downpours leaving the ground saturated and raising the risk of surface water flooding.
The latest update comes as Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather has reminded people that as the weather becomes more unsettled: “It is that time of year when trampolines leave their native habitat to explore local surroundings so please put them away.”

He forecasts that the currently blustery winds will: “slowly ease tonight and lighter for Tuesday but will once again pick up for Tuesday night and Wednesday. Strongest gusts Wednesday will stay out in Atlantic. More heavy rain moving up Tuesday night but clearing Wednesday morning.”
According to the latest Met Éireann update, Monday will be windy with widespread showers and longer spells of rain throughout the day.
There will also be some heavy rain with the chance of thunder in some areas particularly in the north and northeast where spot flooding is possible.
Brighter conditions will develop throughout the day as rainfall should ease from the southwest in the afternoon. However, longer spells of rain will feature in some areas with temperatures ranging from 13-16 degrees with fresh to strong westerly winds.
Monday night will be largely dry with clear spells developing and just isolated showers mainly in the west. Frequent and widespread showers should ease by Tuesday morning with lowest temperatures of 8-12 degrees.
