UPDATE: Road reopened following incident in Limerick

A file is to be prepared for the coroner

Dock Road

The road has now reopened

GARDAÍ in Limerick are investigating the circumstances around the discovery of a man's body on Dock Road, Limerick, this morning (Saturday, May 25, 2024).

The Dock Road had been closed up as far as O'Curry Street, with local diversions in place, from early this morning, but has now reopened.

A garda spokesperson told Limerick Live: "A file will be prepared for the coroner".

The exact cause of death will not be known until an inquest is held in Limerick Coroner's Court. 

It is understood that the man's death was a personal tragedy.
