REPRESENTATIVES of Ireland's independent electoral body were in Limerick over two days to encourage people to get out and have their say in the upcoming elections.
Voters across Limerick go to the polls on Friday, June 7 to elect members of the local council, the European parliament, and for the first time this year, an executive mayor.
The chair of the Electoral Commission Justice Marie Baker joined its chief executive Art O'Leary in Limerick to encourage people to get out and have their say.

They had a full programme of meetings across Limerick.
From meeting Traveller men and women in Ballyhoura to business leaders at Limerick Chamber, first time voters in Laurel Hill Secondary School and the city's migrant community, the pair met many facets of local society.
They got many people registered in time to vote for next month's elections.
The role of the Electoral Commission is to build awareness of Ireland’s elections and increase the numbers of people voting.
