A MAN has died while out hunting in County Limerick this Sunday, Limerick Live has learned.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene of the incident in the east of the county at around 3pm.
It is understood around four or five men were out hunting with dogs when one of the party collapsed while walking in a field. The other men immediately went to his aid, began resuscitation and called emergency services.
Gardai, Cappamore Fire Service, National Ambulance Service and the air ambulance all responded but the man passed away.

The body of the man, aged in his early 60s, was removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem. It is believed the deceased was not from the area.
One local told Limerick Live when they heard the air ambulance in the sky they knew something serious had occurred.
“It is a shocking thing to happen. Everybody did their very best to help him. May he rest in peace,” said the local.
