LIMERICK's Aaron Gillane has donated signed hurling gear to raise money for a charity which has supported the family of a local baby in Crumlin hospital.
The Patrickswell and Limerick All-Star hurler gave autographed shorts and socks to Athea Vintage Club, whose members are running an online raffle for Ronald McDonald House.
The charity has supported the parents of baby Sophie Mulligan, who has been in Crumlin hospital since August 2022 after she was born with a condition which sees her experience breathing difficulties.
Sophie hails from the townland of Dirreen near Athea and her parents Melissa Dalton and Alan Mulligan have become long term residents of Ronald McDonald House who have provided untold support to the family.
Also on offer as a prize is a beautiful hamper consisting of hair tools and products from Athea Hairstyles.
It’s the second time Aaron has linked up with the vintage club - in early September, he attended the vintage club’s annual road run.
Funds are also being raised through the raffle for the Mid-West branch of the Parkinson’s Association. Tickets for the raffle are €10 each, with the raffle ending Friday, November 3.
