THE UNIVERSITY of Limerick (UL) has been recognised for “absolutely incredible work” after securing some of the top honours at this year’s National Education Awards.
The university came out on top in the Overall Excellence Award at the award ceremony, which took place in Santry, Dublin and also secured the most awards on the night, coming away with five in total.
They won the awards for Best Marketing/Communications Team, Best Student Campus, Student Engagement and Communications, Best Use of Educational Technology/ICT Initiative of the Year and the Overall Excellence Award, which was announced at the end of the night.
UL President Professor Kerstin Mey said the awards said being nominated for the awards was an “honour”.
“[It’s]recognition of the absolutely incredible work being done across the institution by an extremely dedicated and passionate staff community.
“I am particularly pleased to see award recognition for our Academic Registry and Marketing and Communications teams, who work tirelessly, often very much behind the scenes, on behalf of our full student and staff community.
“To take home five wins, including the overall prize for excellence, is a real validation of the passion and commitment of the staff at UL and I am delighted that they have been celebrated,” she added.
