Gusts of up to 110km/h expected for Limerick as Clare weather warning updated

LIMERICK city and county can expect to see gale force winds of up to 110km/h following a yellow wind warning issued by Met Éireann.

Met Éireann has also updated their weather warning for Clare from status yellow to orange.

Strong gale force winds are expected in parts of West Clare which will see winds reach up to 110km/h from the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The status orange wind warning was issued close to 4pm this Tuesday afternoon.

The warning is in effect from 2:00am this Wednesday to 5:00am.

According to the Met Éireann websites the conditions will be stormy for a time with damaging gusts in excess of 110km/h.

Met Éireann has issued a red storm warning off the coast of counties Clare and Kerry from Valentia to Loop Head
