SEWER connection works in two populated Limerick locations will take place everyday for 18 days, causing temporary road closures and diversions.
The Carrowkeel, Woodhaven, Castletroy area will have temporary road closures in place for construction on sewers from Monday, April 10 to Friday, April 28. The road to be closed is Carrowkeel 11652-11 (West).
The area and surrounding areas are densely populated, with hundreds of houses accommodating families, University of Limerick (UL) students, and more.
Two adjoining estates parallel to one another, the Carrowkeel and Woodhaven areas are in close proximity to Castletroys amenities such as the ODEON Cinema and Castletroy Urban Greenway.
The notice comes ahead of Easter, with works beginning on Easter Monday. The temporary closure is to facilitate sewer connection works in the Cairn Homes Housing Development Project.
Limerick City and County Council have noted that "diversions will be clearly signposted" and that an alternative route is Carrowkeel 11652-11 (East), 11652-15, 11652-14.
