LIMERICK woman Michelle Daly has been appointed as a partner in a top Dublin law firm Matheson's tax department.
A past pupil of Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ, she completed a Bachelor of civil law degree at University College Cork and a Master of laws (international and European business law) at Trinity College Dublin.
Ms Daly is also a chartered tax adviser.
Her role will be to advise clients in the financial services sector, focusing on a range of matters including the rental of aeroplanes, insurance and the restructure of debt.
Previously, she has spent time working in Matheson's New York office.
Ms Daly becomes one of 14 lawyers whom Matheson has recently promoted to partner across nine different practice areas.
The appointments bring the total number of partners and tax principals in the firm to 121.
Michael Jackson, managing partner of Matheson said: "We are delighted to welcome these 14 skilled lawyers to our partnership. It is particularly pleasing to see such a large and diverse range of practice areas represented in these appointments, something which reflects the broad sectoral composition of our client base and the continued growth and success of the firm across all practice areas."
"These promotions are a further endorsement of Matheson's people strategy and our ongoing investment in talent. They are representative of the breadth and scope of the technical and legal knowledge which is nurtured across the firm. I congratulate them on their appointments, and I look forward to working with them closely over the coming years," he added.
