In Pictures: Limerick school to showcase new spring fashions

STUDENTS from Laurel Hill in the city are preparing to showcase the latest spring/summer fashion collections in their annual fashion show next week.

The event at the Limerick Strand Hotel is being run by the Parents Council of Laurel Hill Secondary School and Laurel Hill Colaiste School.

It will see 58 students from 5th year joining models from Limerick’s Holman Lee Agency on the runway.

The students and professional models will be showcasing a range of styles from Limerick boutiques and designers, including Be Fabulous, Dani’s Closet and Ivory Closet, as well as Adare's Aisling Maher and Catherine McCormack.

Male teachers will be wearing outfits from Sexton’s menswear.

Hair and makeup on the night will be done by Catherine Hickey Makeup and Hair, Limerick College of Further Education and stylist Eva O’Donoghue MUA.

The door prize is sponsored by Keanes Jewellers, O’Connell Street, Limerick and there will be many other spot prizes up for grabs on the night.

The annual Laurel Hill Fashion Show has been running for over 40 years and is one of the largest fashion shows in Munster, attracting in excess of 450 people.

The funds raised will be used for the benefit of Laurel Hill Secondary School and Laurel Hill Colaiste School students.

The show will take place on Thursday, March 9 at 7:30pm. Tickets are priced at €20 and are available to purchase from both schools.
