Site of 'transformative' new hub for people with MS launched in Limerick

The organisation is seeking support to help bring the project to full realisation
MS IRELAND welcomed members of the community, supporters, and local stakeholders to its upcoming Limerick Hub for a preview event.
The event, hosted on the site of the new building at Springfield, Singland Road, offered guests a glimpse into the “ambitious” plans.
Visitors were invited to walk through the site, view architectural drawings, and engage with MS Ireland staff and volunteers.
The event served as both an information session and a call for support, with attendees encouraged to play a role in shaping what will become a “transformative” facility for the Mid-West region.
“We were delighted to welcome so many members of the community to our future Limerick Hub,” said Ava Battles, CEO.

“Though the building is still in its early stages, this event was about sharing the dream, and showing people the incredible potential it holds.”
The centre will feature Limerick’s first fully accessible gym for people with MS and similar neurological conditions, alongside dedicated spaces for education, peer support, and community programmes.
Service user Aoife Potter-Cogan said: “It's so important to have this centralised space... all of us know somebody who has some sort of neurological condition who could benefit from this.”
The new facility aims to address long-standing gaps in accessible, community-based neurological services.
The organisation is seeking financial support, partnerships, and local input to help bring the project to full realisation.
