Blood donation clinic to take place across Limerick this week
Last week the Irish Blood Transfusion Service issued an PRE–AMBER blood shortage alert to all Irish hospitals. A pre-amber alert instructs the hospitals to conserve their blood supplies.
If a full AMBER ALERT is issued it will impact on medical procedures requiring blood product support.
Four blood donation clinics will take place in Limerick this week to combat the major blood shortage. New donors are welcome and just one contribution can make a difference.
This weeks Limerick Clinics are as follows:
Caherdavin Greenhills Hotel
Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1 4.20pm – 7.40pm.
