TIPPERARY

LADIES: The Senior Ladies were out in force once again for their social golf on Monday morning, and these diamonds were very much on the fairway.
November 24 was a cold start, but the scramblers team of Brigid Shearman, Hanora Cahill Connery and Kathleen Taylor emerged to top the board. Well done to all who took part.
Remember that the Senior ladies play their social golf on Monday mornings and everyone is welcome.
EVENTS: Wednesday, December 3 and Sunday, December 7 will be a 10 hole club day.
The winter league also continues, with the last day for submission being Sunday, December 7.
There will be a presentation of prizes on the December 17 in the clubhouse, where we will have our Christmas party night, with both a putting competition and the annual Christmas jumper competition.
The ladies held a coffee morning for St Vincent De Paul on Sunday, November 30 and it was very well supported, thank you kindly to everyone who came along and donated, it is most certainly appreciated.
On the podium this week: Wednesday, November 26 - 10 Hole Stableford Turkey competition. Once more into the breach, Lady President Josie Dunne was aiming high for another voucher for the Christmas dinner, closely tailed by Josephine O'Donnell. Now with our LP Josie Dunne already with two turkeys, her 4 shot cut impacted on her chance of the top prize. Josephine O'Donnell also with a 2 shot handicap for winning a turkey earlier in the month was usurped by her sister Ann English who finally goes home with a Turkey Voucher with 23 points over 10 holes. Mary Crowe came in second place, getting the hamper with the cranberry sauce.
Super golf played again, with the course holding up exceptionally in the challenging weather we've been having.
As always, if you have a society or a group you want to book in to play golf at Tipperary Golf Club for 2026 do make sure you call the pro shop and get your spaces booked good and early. Phone the pro shop on 062-51119.
In the meantime, Trish and Rickie are still serving amazing food in the clubhouse and it serves as a great spot to thaw out after all that fresh air.
