Kieran Earls, left, with his father Patrick after his All-Ireland Senior Championship Pitch and Putt win in Glenville
KIERAN Earls, originally from Ballynanty, has been picked as a wild card on the Irish team that will compete at the World Cup Pitch and Putt in Copa Del Mon in Barcelona this October.
The thirty-three year-old, now living in Clareview with his family, was picked on the Irish team on merit of his successful Pitch and Putt season in 2024. Kieran has had a fantastic year playing Pitch and Putt around the country and in Europe. This year alone Kieran has won six senior scratch cups came second in the World stroke Play.
Earls also claimed second place in the Irish open and won the All-Ireland senior championship only a month ago. Kieran is the only senior player from Limerick to have achieved the Grand Slam in Pitch and Putt.
Just last weekend Earls played in St Patrick’s pitch and putt course in Enniscorthy which was the final trial in a 54 hole competition to be named on the Ireland team for the World Cup.
The World Cup competition is going to be held in the Copa Del Mon El Vendrell, Barcelona from the 11-13 of October 2024.
