Gardaí appeal for witnesses after thief breaks into vehicle to steal wallet in Limerick
Window smashed of parked vehicle to reach visible wallet
GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses after a wallet was stolen from a parked vehicle in one Limerick village.
On Saturday afternoon of November 23, a thief broke into a vehicle to steal a wallet in the Patrickswell area.
“Entry was gained to the vehicle by breaking the driver’s window and a wallet was taken from the centre console,” said Sergeant Aoife Bannon of Henry St garda station.
“Especially this time of year, people will be starting to do their Christmas shopping and leaving items back in their car for safekeeping. If you can, try and place any valuable items out of sight or even in the boot.”
Gardaí are appealing to anyone in and around Patrickswell who witnessed anything suspicious on November 23 to contact Roxboro Road garda station on 061 214 340.
