THE Limerick senior football side to face Down in Division 3 of the Allianz Football League this Saturday has been named.

Jimmy Lee's Limerick side will face their Ulster opponents at Mick Neville Park,Rathkeale, 2pm throw-in.

Limerick drew their opening League fixture against Laois at Laois Hire O'Moore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday night last.

The sides were also level at half time with Limerick on 0-7 and Laois notching 1-4 after the opening 35 minutes.

Jimmy Lee's Limerick sided nudged into a one-point lead, 0-13 to 1-9, in second half injury time after Eliah Riordan landed a two-point free.

However, home side Laois struck for a late equaliser through Niall Corbet to secure a share of the spoils.

Saturday's opponents Down defeated Clare 2-19 to 2-14 at Páirc Esler in Newry last weekend. 

Following Saturday's meeting with Down, Limerick will resume their programme of Allianz Football League fixtures with a home game against Wexford at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Sunday, February 15, 2pm.
