All you need to know ahead of Limerick's Tailteann Cup final against Kildare

THE LIMERICK SENIOR FOOTBALLERS will aim to create history today in the Tailteann Cup final against Kildare. Limerick have recorded victories over London, Antrim, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow during the Tailteann Cup, while their opponents Kildare have gotten the better of Sligo, Tipperary, Leitrim, Offaly and Fermanagh on their route to the final. 

The decider will form part of a double header with the All-Ireland senior football championship semi-final between Kerry and Tyrone at 5pm. 

Croke Park officials have confirmed that the Tailteann Cup final will include extra time and a winner-on-the-day protocols if necessary. 

The winners of Saturday afternoon's Tailteann Cup decider will be guaranteed Sam Maguire football for the 2026 season.

Where and when is it on?

Limerick face Kildare in the Tailteann Cup final on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm in Croke Park. Tickets are available to buy on Ticketmaster and in selected Supervalu and Centra stores.

Where can I watch the game?

The Tailteann Cup final will be shown live on RTÉ 2 with coverage getting underway at 2:15pm. Supporters will be able to watch highlights from the Tailteann Cup final on The Sunday Game at 10:15pm on RTÉ 2 on Sunday night.
