Two more Limerick SHC round four games down for decision this evening

IT'S ANOTHER busy night of action in the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick SHC with two crucial games in Group One of the competition down for decision.
In Cappamore, top of the table Kilmallock face Patrickswell, while at the same time, Daly Cup holders Na Piarsaigh face Ahane in Claughaun.
Kilmallock come into the fixture with Patrickswell with a perfect record after winning their three games so far. Fintan O'Connor's men saw off Kildimo-Pallaskenry last time out but he will be looking for improvements against tonight's opponents.
The Balbec hit 14 wides in that game, with ace free-taker Micheál Houlihan, surprisingly off target from a number of placed balls throughout the contest.
However, Shane O'Brien was in inspired form once more for the south Limerick giants with a scoring haul of 1-4, all of which came from play.
Patrickswell have two wins from their three games coming into this evening's clash. They saw off Ahane by three points last time out with their Limerick trio of Aaron Gillane, Cian Lynch and Diarmaid Byrnes all putting in excellent showings.
Eamonn Kelly will be looking for further improvements from that performance and knows that they will have to up things even further to hand Kilmallock their first loss of the 2023 championship.
Elsewhere, Na Piarsaigh are also on the hunt for their third win when they meet Ahane. Shane O'Neill's men have recovered well from their opening round loss to Patrickswell.
Adrian Breen and Peter Casey have been in lethal form in the full-forward line with the former scoring 2-3 against Doon, while Casey chipped in with five points.
Ahane, on the other hand, are without a win since beating Kildimo-Pallaskenry in round one but have been improving with each game they have played.
They ran Kilmallock very close in round two, while their late rally nearly came good last time out against Patrickswell. The one worry Sean Flynn has going into tonight's game is the over-reliance on Tom Morrissey for their scores.
The Limerick star scored 1-11 of their 2-13 last time out but they will need to spread the scores around more if they are to have any chance against the competition favourites.
