LIMERICK'S minor football team are back in Munster Championship action on this Thursday evening when they play Kerry in the semi-final in Newcastle West.

Fresh from their three-point win over Tipperary in the phase one final, John Ryan's side face a Kerry outfit that will be smarting from the loss to Cork in their quarter-final.

Limerick will be full of confidence heading into the last four clash but Ryan and his backroom team will be fully aware that they are underdogs against the Kingdom.

Even if Limerick don't make it past Kerry and into a provincial decider, it has been a superb year for the minor side.
After losing to Tipperary in their opening round robin fixture, Limerick went onto beat Clare and Waterford, before the win over the Premier in Mallow last time out.

Doubts surround the fitness of team captain Aidan O'Shea head of the fixture against Kerry. O'Shea played the full 60 minutes against Tipperary but it was his first game of the Championship.

O'Shea's fitness will be key to hopes of a shock result, as well the form of midfield partner Evan Curry. However, the win over Tipp was an out and out team display.

Paddy Lane top scored for Kerry against Cork with seven points and will be a threat for Limerick to keep an eye on. Limerick's Munster MFC semi-final with Kerry has a 6.45pm throw-in at Newcastle West and is live on TG4's YouTube channel.

Limerick have named an unchanged team for tonight's game.
