THE Limerick side to face Derry in their Allianz Football League Division 2 opening round fixture at Owenbeg on Saturday, 3pm, has been named.

Ray Dempsey's Limerick side reached the final of the early season competition, the McGrath Cup, before losing out to Cork in Mallow on Friday night last.

Following Saturday's away date with last year's All-Ireland semi-finalists Derry, Limerick's second game back in Division 2 of the Allianz Football League will see the Shannonsiders host Dublin at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, February 5 at 3pm.
