THOUSANDS of Limerick students are receiving their Leaving Certificate results this Friday morning, August 23.
Some 2,953 students in Limerick sat their Leaving Certificate exams this year, with 215 students sitting Leaving Cert Applied exams.
Those getting their highly-anticipated results can access them through the candidate self-service portal, open from 10am this Friday.
From there, students can view their results and get a statement of their provisional results.
Students who opted to apply for third-level education courses will receive their offers in CAO Round One on Wednesday, August 28, where they will find out whether their points grant them a spot in their prospective college course.
With this in mind, national mental health charity Turn2Me is reminding families across the country that exam results don’t define a person.

“Your mental health is just as important as any academic achievement,” Fiona O’Malley, CEO of the charity, said.
“It's okay to feel disappointed if you didn't get the results you were hoping for, but it’s also important to keep things in perspective and know that there are many opportunities ahead.”
The statistics of the most popular courses among students applying for third-level education options this year have been revealed by the CAO.
Over half (56%) of all 83,169 applicants in 2024 used the CAO change of mind facility, which closed on July 1.
There were 632 less applicants that applied to the CAO compared to last year.
Applicants opting to study Physiotherapy jumped 22% this year compared to last year, making it the course that surged in popularity the most.
Healthcare remains the most popular profession among students, with 71,652 young people applying to pursue a career in the healthcare sector.
